Project Safety Officer

Paisley Site Services is seeking a Project Safety Officer for their client’s team in Teesside. The ideal candidate should possess technical training and/or experience in industrial safety and health.

Job Description:
– Issue various work permits (hot work, cold work, Electrical, Paint & Blast) as needed.
– Conduct gas testing related to permit requirements.
– Ensure compliance with LOTO, energy isolation, blinding, etc., as per permits.
– Verify that equipment covered by permits is clean, tested, and safe for work.
– Secure permit areas, mitigating hazards like fire risks, sparks, and chemicals before issuance.
– Enforce proper utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
– Supervise housekeeping in the work area.
– Regularly inspect and enforce compliance with permit conditions.
– Familiarize with and support the company’s Health and Safety Management Systems.
– Attend daily progress update meetings during project operations.
