Contracts Manager required in Loughborough
(Joinery background)
The Role will involve setting up and monitoring safe/professional working environments and the management of other employees through tasks, liaising with clients, and working with the project manager to deliver to the business standards and meet the clients’ expectations
Extensive knowledge and experience in 3 or more of the below areas is preferred.
Installation of fire doors and awareness of passive fire protection
Knowledge or experience of the installation of sheet hygiene cladding systems
Installation of metal partitions and drylining systems
MF/suspended Ceiling systems
2nd fix joinery and finishing
The following qualifications are preferred:
Minimum of SSSTS Health and safety Qualification
IPAF
PASMA
City and Guilds level 3 Joinery/Carpentry
The role would best suite an applicant that has experience with liaising with clients, ordering and organising materials and management of other employees and subcontractors to deliver tasks on time and budget.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop serval teams of operatives. (Joiners)
To be familiar with and understand the current fire regulations to ensure the doors are fully compliant.
To be able to identify labels, CE marks and Plugs to show that a door is certified.
Fire Door Maintenance / Remedial Works
Manage the co-ordination of multiple projects from initial survey, pre-commencement planning, project mobilisation and completion.
Ensure outputs are maintained in line with commercial and client lead priority targets, ensuring robust planning and effective resource management techniques are maintained
Assist in the preparation of instructions for the organisation and methods necessary to ensure compliance with Company Policies, effective site safety management and quality control
Build and maintain positive, solution-based relationships with project stakeholders including senior client representatives, office and site based operational teams
Report progress (Safety, Quality & Commercial) as part of a suite of key performance indicators internally and with client management teams
Desirable Qualifications:
NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health & Safety
ASFP Level 3
SSSTS Card
CSCS Card
First Aid Certificate
· Joinery: 5 years (Preferred)
· Carpentry: 5 years (Preferred)
· Drivers License
