Reliability Engineer required in Gateshead
This newly created position has been introduced into the Engineering team to contribute towards the improvement of OEE on site through various mediums. It is a critical role and we are looking for someone with a high desire to succeed, to put effective processes in place that will enable the reduction of engineering focus on none value added tasks.
You will be confident and able to deputise for Maintenance Manager & Head of Engineering when required. Your drive to succeed will be contagious, coupled with your high desire to continuously improve the Engineering working practices, will make you a force to reckon with.
Key Responsibilities:
To deliver a training plan for Tech Op’s to carry out and validate operations team on .
To keep an up-to-date training plan record.
To seek a reduction in reoccurring costs by introduction of different methods/solutions
To contribute towards the reduction of downtime and increase in OEE through people/processes/machinery.
Carry out/review and keep up to date RCA tracker.
Consistent reporting of all activities and communication to other members of the department
Review preventative maintenance to ensure machinery is in good state of repair. Effectively planning optimum time available when equipment is not in use
Understanding of health & safety and food hygiene rules and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
A relevant Mechanical/electrical trade qualification or diploma
Experience within a manufacturing environment, food industry knowledge is an advantage
Strong troubleshooting and technical ability
Positive mindset, with a flexible mindset that is open to change
